ACRIA is a leading research and education organization, working across New York City and State, nationally and internationally to help people with AIDS live longer, healthier lives, and to ensure that young people and anyone at risk has the tools they need to prevent infection.
ACRIA tests the newest therapies; undertakes cutting-edge research to understand better who has HIV and how to best care for them; provides life-saving health education to disadvantaged communities around the world; strengthens local groups throughout the U.S., Latin America, and the Caribbean through training and technical assistance; and is the largest provider of HIV and sexual health education in the New York City schools. Additionally, through its ACRIA Center on HIV & Aging, the organization is recognized as a global expert on the greying of the AIDS epidemic. For 25 years, ACRIA has been championed tirelessly by the art, fashion, media, and design communities.
